Terradon Communications Group has developed a sound method for working with clients for website design. The company has a structured process of milestones and checks and balances for quality assurance purposes and client satisfaction. TCG works with our clients to pinpoint milestones and dates for task completion.
Discovery Phase - TCG begins the website design process by assembling all parties for an initial design/concept meeting. During this meeting:
Scope of the project is finalized
Critical information is gathered
Logo usage
Colors
Desired look & feel of site
Functionality review – each section of the site requirements are reviewed to work through the details of each section.
Communications procedures for the project are established
Conceptual Design Phase - Once these parameters have been establish, TCG will begin website design work maintaining constant communications with the client. This process typically takes two to three weeks. Page layouts, navigation, and mobile template will be finalized in this process.
Application Development Phase - Upon approval of the final design concept, website development begins. TCG’s developers will work hand-in-hand with our Designer/Project Manager to ensure all functionality of the website properly interacts with the design and end users’ requirements. This process typically takes four to six weeks.
Quality Assurance Testing Phase – TCG initiates a comprehensive testing phase of the website design including the following:
Exploratory Testing (Ensuring all areas of the site function properly)
Usability Testing (Ensuring the site meets standard TCG usability standards)
Appearance Testing (Ensuring the site remains consistent with the design throughout any application)
Security Testing (Ensuring the site meets all standard TCG security measures)
Training Phase - Once the website is ready for deployment four hours of training will be provided to the client in a Train-the-Trainer format. Clients may include up to four individuals for training. During this process all aspects of operating the CMS will be reviewed, as well as, content from the former site will be moved into the new website. Upon completion of training and content insertion, client's begin the final review of the site and let TCG know when they are ready to deploy.
Site Deployment – TCG will coordinate with the client's existing vendor to change the IP address for the domain to point to TCG servers and display the new website. Most visitors will see the new site within a few hours. It may take up to three days for the domain changes to propagate throughout the World Wide Web.
